Does Hey Cortana work? Needs to be a command, not a keyboard shortcut. Unfortunately, Synaptics doesn’t allow an imitation keypress for it. You can bring up Windows 10 context menu’s regarding the touchpad by right clicking on the start button on the bottom left of the screen. From there, choose “Control panel”. In there, click on the mouse settings. There are usually several tabs here, you will have to hunt for which one will be relevant for your touchpad. I found mind as “switch direction” in a synaptics tab.
Click on “Settings”. From here, there is the “ease of access”. There is the “mouse” field here which offers different buttons than the control panel route.
There is also an ‘other options’ that may show different data for you than it does for me since you set up is different. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another. Any content of an adult theme or inappropriate to a community web site. Any image, link, or discussion of nudity. Any behavior that is insulting, rude, vulgar, desecrating, or showing disrespect. Please direct me to an explanation of “three finger precision gestures of Windows 10 ” ; I’ve never heard of this. I have a brand new Dell Inspiron 15 with a Synaptic touchpad. I just upgraded to Windows 10 a week ago and my touchpad has no gesture features at all now, including no scrolling function.
All I can do on the trackpad is move the mouse and left or right click. No scrolling, no two or three-finger gestures, and no options to update.
I’ve manually downloaded the driver from Dell and other sources and tried updating the drivers half a dozen times. It keeps telling me the current driver is the most recent and refuses to update. Any help would be appreciated! Please uninstall the current drivers. Restart the computer and when Windows searches for drivers, direct it to the path where you have stored the current drivers which were downloaded from the manufacturer website.
You may also contact Dell to find out if any updated versions of the drivers which are compatible with Windows 10 have been released or not. When the computer restarts, it still shows that the driver I uninstalled is there.
When I click Update Driver, it tells me that I’m using the most up-to-date version. I’ve already downloaded the drivers from the Dell site for an Inspiron 15 laptop. Surprisingly, I’ve found two different driver downloads for this and I’ve downloaded both and attempted to install both multiple times to no avail. I’m not sure that they are being installed to the correct drivers folder though.
